Sew Love for Inspira Medical Centers
Please join us in beating the spread of COVID-19! We have been in conversations with Dr. Nick Dalsey of Inspira Medical Centers. After careful review by their clinical team, Inspira Health has determined that they are able to accept donated homemade masks. Fellowship UMC will be a collection point for the masks. You can drop them off on Mondays between 10am-11am and Fridays 5:30pm-6:30pm beginning April 6th. We will provide excellent social distancing (we’ll be inside the door and the box will be outside)😇 If you are able to sew and would like to contribute to the COVID-19 response, Inspira provided the instructions and guidelines below for producing masks at home. To maximize protection for their clinical providers, they requested masks be made of a cotton fabric. They prefer that masks have the following:
• Pocket to insert additional filtration
• Slit along the top length of the mask to insert a metal band to mold to face
