TEDDY BEAR SUNDAY

On February 23rd, the Teddy Bears of the area will picnic at Fellowship UMC! We will be collecting NEW teddy bears to be given to the Osborn Clinic of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital to be given, through the social work department, as "comfort friends" to children who come to the clinic for treatment and various forms of therapy. The bears will rally and be blessed during morning worship, and we'll hear the true story of a little boy and his surgeon who inspired this ministry here and across the country. The service will be followed by a covered dish "Teddy Bears' Picnic" lunch in the social hall of the church. Bring your favorite picnic dish to share!!

Would you like to be a part of touching the life of a child who is frightened or ill? Come for worship and lunch and bring a NEW, cuddly bear friend on Feb. 23rd (plenty of time after Valentine's Day to snatch up those home-needing bears during post-Valentine's Day sales!)! if you can't be with us on the 23rd, there is a teddy bear donation box in the entrance way of New Beginnings. Not able to get out to shop for a teddy? Monetary donations can be given to any TBS Committee member (Lynn, Judy C., Joan, Betsy, Charlotte, Carole, Theresa or Shellie) prior to February 9th and we’ll shop for you!!
